Cookie Policy

None. Really.

Most sites that say this mean "none except the ones we do not count". We mean none. This site stores nothing in your browser: no cookies, no local storage, no session storage, no fingerprinting, no pixels.

You can check without taking our word for it. Open your browser's developer tools on any page here, go to the storage or application tab, and look. It will be empty.

Why there is no banner

Because a consent banner asks permission to do something. We are not doing the something. Putting one up anyway would mean interrupting every visitor to ask about cookies that do not exist — which is theatre, and the kind of theatre that trains people to click "accept" without reading.

Under the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules, consent is required for storing or reading information on your device beyond what is strictly necessary. We store nothing at all, so the requirement never starts.

What we gave up to be able to say that

We do not know how many people visit this site, which pages they read, where they came from or what they did before writing to us. There is no dashboard. When a project arrives, the only way we learn how someone found us is by asking them.

That is a real cost and we are naming it, because a site that claims perfect privacy and perfect measurement is claiming one of the two falsely.

The typefaces used to be an exception

Until recently this site loaded its two typefaces from Google's font servers. That set no cookie, but it did mean every visitor's IP address reached Google before the first letter appeared on screen, and before anyone had agreed to anything. A German court ruled in 2022 that doing exactly that broke the GDPR.

So we stopped. The fonts are now files on our own server. Loading any page of this site now contacts no other company at all.

What still happens if you click something

Links are links. If you open our Instagram, LinkedIn or Behance, or tap a WhatsApp button, you land on someone else's service and their cookies and their rules apply from that moment. Nothing from them is embedded here — no like buttons, no share widgets, no embedded feeds — so none of it runs until you choose to go there.

Sending the contact form passes your message through a form service. It sets no cookie in your browser, but it does receive what you typed. That is covered in full on the privacy page.

If this ever changes

If we add analytics — and one day we probably will, because knowing where work comes from is worth something — this page gets rewritten before that code goes live, not after. It will list every cookie by name, what it does and how long it lasts, and there will be a real consent banner: one that does not load anything until you say yes, rather than one that tells you about it while it is already running.

Until you see that, the sentence at the top of this page is the whole truth. The date beside the title is when we last checked it.
